Sensei Lisa Reid 3rd Dan Kickboxing
I first became involved in martial arts when my children started karate traning, both of whom are now black belts. I wanted to learn a martail art but did not want to do the same classes as my children, so initially started attending Tai Chi. I then moved on to kickboxing and worked my way through the grades and am now a 2nd Dan in kickboxing and have been an instructor since obtaining my 1st Dan. In 2006 I started a women’s only kickboxing class which I ran until July 2008 and now I teach a weekly circuit training class for members and non-members as well as teaching kickboxing.
I would like to see more non members from the local community taking part in the circuit training classes and hope that the fitness and confidence they achieve from this in turn encourage them and their families to jion in other martial arts opportunities offered by SESMA.

I dislike hearing “i can’t” and I really enjoy seeing everyone try their best and then seeing the sense of achievement they have when they learn or try something new and the confidence that they gain from it.
