Sensei Jamie

Senior SESMA Instructor

I started martial arts at the age of 5, following my parents getting me & my sister (Stacey) involved. My younger brother (Adam) joined soon after upon turning 3, so all of us siblings began our journey into the world of martial arts.

I achieved my black belt at the age of 10 (one of the youngest in the country at that time), my 2nd degree black belt at 13 and then my 3rd degree black belt at 16. I have represented and competed in a vast amount of competitions alongside training and coaching hundreds of students along the way and I have loved every moment. Martial arts shaped me as a person and ultimately where I am in life and I cannot thank my parents enough for starting this path for me.

Martial arts has given me so many amazing adventures, ranging from qualifying as a recognised instructor in America, to winning numerous championships up and down the country, meeting some amazing and inspiring individuals and making the greatest of friends along the way.

I have known Master Wayne since I began my journey at the age of 5 and feel very proud to once again represent and teach for SESMA all these years later.

I now live in Drayton a stones throw from the SESMA academy and therefore will give the club my all to make sure we continue to develop and grow for years to come with the support of the awesome coaching team and students alike.
