SO MANY students have benefited from attending these friday sessions.
Kata is the foundation of martial arts, it not only helps with learning blocks and strikes, but also improves memory, discpline and focus.
For students that are on the Advance /Elite packages (2 classes per week) there is the dedicated KATA class that concentrates solely on your grade and kata.
Each class has 2-3 instructors to help you get your kata its best, but you will still need to practice at home too.
KATA Friday Class Times
4pm Yellow & Orange Belts
5pm Green & 2nd Green Belts
6pm Blue & 2nd Blue Belts
7pm Purple & Above
White & Red belt grading
We will be giving out invites to White & Red Belts in April to attend their grading on:
Saturday 27th April 1pm Kickboxing Karate 2pm
On the day of your grading, could you please:
Wear full martial arts outfit inc belt
£20 payment for your White to Red Belt Grading (pay on the day)
£30 for Red to Yellow Belt Grading (pay on the day)

New Kickboxing Class
8pm Tuesday 5th March sees the start of a new adult kickboxing class at SESMA.
Open to beginners (1st class free) and existing Kickboxing members.
The classes will be taught by Master Wayne.
Remember you can swap and change your classes about.
8pm every Tuesday starting 5th March
Existing members, this is an additional class for you to train at.
Games Evening
Games Evening Saturday 16th March 6pm – whenever pm
Come and join us in a fun evening of board games at the SESMA Studio
Bring along your favourite games to share the fun with other game loving individuals and families.
This is a free event open to all.
Bring some food/snacks or order yourself a Domino Pizzas
Tea/Coffee and squash provided.

Selected for the National Championships
This is the peak of national sport karate and SESMA could not be more proud.
They have attended many EKF league events but this is the first national championships they have attended within England which only happens once a year.

Many of the SESMA students have been selected for the Europeans held in London later this year.
This is a result of dedication and hardwork over a period of time at the sesma squad sessions.
To be invited to the EMAGC squad sessions is a result of podium places at qualifying competitions.

March Fitness
A few of you joined in the monthly fitness that started in January.

There are also healthy eating advice/recipes and other workouts available on the Members Portal.

You need sparring pads
Like most sports you will need equipment, same with your martial arts.
You need sparring equipment which consists of sparring gloves and shin/foot pads.
RED & YELLOW Belts need a minimum of hand pads/gloves
GREEN Belts need hand pads/glove and shin/foot pads.

Best thing is that when you purchase from us, you will know that they meet safety/insurance standards and are competitive in price.
Also purchasing from SESMA you are supporting YOUR club and not amazon/Sports Direct or a business that you have no connection with.
Kickboxers: Please do not be offended if we do not allow you to wear your gloves for sparring due to being the wrong weight gloves.

The Nerf Gun play starts with your battle kit being issued before top secret, very important safety briefing. Then it’s into the zone for fun filled Nerf gun battle action under the watchful eyes of your battlefield commanders!
All safety equipment, scenarios, guns and FUN provided.
