Design Our T-Rex
Our T-Rex is here at SESMA
We have been waiting so long for our T-Rex to arrive and now it is finally here.
But….
It is rather naked and I don’t have anything cool for it to wear.
This is where YOU can help.
I have a template for you design our T-Rex
The best design may be used to decorate our T-Rex ready for going out in to the city.
The instructors will be handing out the outline templates in class, draw your design and return to SESMA.
And YES you can do more than 1 design.
All designs will be displayed at the studio and the instructors will try to choose the T-Rexs new skin.
Closing Date for the designs is 21st December.
The chosen design will be painted on during January.
The our T-Rex will return to see it’s brothers and sisters in February ready for being displayed in the city 20th June – 10th September 2022

Odd Socks day (week)
Monday 15th November
Odd Socks Day is going to be fun! It’s an opportunity to encourage people to express themselves and celebrate their individuality and what makes us all unique!
So that students don’t miss out, we are running it for the week.
There is no pressure to wear the latest fashion or to buy expensive costumes. All you have to do to take part is wear odd socks to your martial arts class, it couldn’t be simpler!
Who Would Like £20??
I guess all of us could do with £20 in their pocket of piggy bank.
Well im giving away £20 notes to my students who refer a friend to SESMA
If your friend attends a Free taster and then completes a beginners intro trial course, we will give you £20 for introducing them.
Easy as that.
Either ask them to book via sesma.co.uk and click on the “Student Refer A Friend” button or pick up a Referral Card from your instructor, put your name on it, add your friends details and bring back to the studio.
We will do the rest and you could receive a £20 note.

Decembers Black Belt gradings will be held on Saturday 11th December.

Friday Karate Kata Sessions
Learn and improve your new Katas 1st Friday of every month
Having trouble learning your new Kata or remembering you older ones?
Even with up to 6 kata sessions per month, some students find katas a challenge
and then panic when it comes to gradings or competitions.
So come along to the Friday class to help you learn your katas.

Sensei William our competition and GB coach runs competition training sessions every 2nd & 3rd Friday of the month.
You don’t need to be awesome to attend, that is Sensei Will’s job to make you awesome, just like our Junior World Champions Isabel, Ben & Ivan.
Just turn up at a session and let Sensei Will do his magic.

Women's & Teens Self Defence Workshops
Most of you know that SESMA has teamed up with TLC – Transforming Local Communities LTD in providing free self defence classes to women in Norwich.
The workshops have 18 available spaces Girls Workshop 12-15 yrs

This event is being delivered by SESMA, who have kindly subsidised the event for the community. Money raised by Taverham & Drayton Litter Pickers (part of Transforming Local Communities) has funded the remaining balance of the course, making it FREE of charge for those women wishing to attend.
On the evening, a FREE rape alarm will also be given to attendees.
Voluntary donations will be used to purchase items of food for Taverham & Drayton Food Bank.
If you reserve a space and find that you are unable to attend, please let the event organiser know as soon as possible so that we can allow someone else to take part.
Once you have secured a place on the course you will be sent a document via email by SESMA, please complete this as soon as possible and return it. You will be able to complete a form on the evening, however doing this beforehand will help the event run more smoothly on the evening.
January Family Day
So I thought we would start the year with a Family Day with a difference.
All of you know that SESMA is quite big with helping the community.
So i was thinking of how the SESMA students could help the community, have a family day and all have a laugh and some fun.
Well here it is….
Come and join us for our first litter pick of 2022 in Drayton on Sunday 9th January 2022 from 09:45, meeting at SESMA Martial Arts Studio.
All equipment is provided. Please ensure to wear suitable clothing (long sleeves/bottoms and closed toe shoes).
You MUST book in advance and a ticket reserved for each member of your family attending. This is so that we can ensure enough equipment is available.
