Well im giving away £20 notes to my students who refer a friend to SESMA
If your friend attends a Free taster and then completes a beginners intro trial course, we will give you £20 for introducing them.
Easy as that.
Pick up a Referral Card from your instructor, put your name on it, add your friends details and bring back to the studio.
We will do the rest and you could receive a £20 note.

Family Treasure Hunt trail
Sunday 10th October
Come and join us for a Treasure Trail in Norwich
These have been well supported in the past and have been great fun too.
After you have solved all the clues and found the treasure, you could then join us for a picnic in Chaplefield Gardens or the Cathedral Grounds
Meeting Point: St.Andrews Hall
Car parking: St.Andrews
Each family will be given a booklet containing clues and directions with a mission answer grid to help break the code and save the day.
Those that have taken part on these with us before have all enjoyed, with many looking forward to the next.
No prize for the winning team or the 1st to complete, just Bragging rights.
Remember to bring a Pen.

Children's 1st Aid Course
We have had a lot of interest in this course, and I have a list of names, but payment is needed to reserve your place.
Saturday 23rd October 9am-12pm
Cost £10 for single child, further siblings £5 each
Andy Anderson First Aid at Work will be running the course and he has kindly agreed to donate the cost of the course to a very worthy cause…the Norwich Air Ambulance.
We tend to forget that we are just as important as our children, and if we were to have an accident or collapse, wouldn’t you want to know that your child could help you?
Cash in envelope and hand in to reception please.

Weapon Kata Workshop
2 WEAPON KATA WORKSHOPS DURING HALF TERM
Learn the foundation moves of the Jo including strikes, spins & figure of 8’s. Then learn how to put your news moves into a kata that can be further developed for competitions.
We have some Jo’s available, but a broomstick is very similar if you have one, just remember to take the brush end off first.
Learn how to draw & sheathe the sword, basic cuts & blocks and then combine into a kata, which can then be used for competitions.
We have some swords at the studio, but plenty of short sticks that can be used.
Thursday 28th October 11am – 12:30pm £7.50
Due to space, the numbers will be limited.
These are taught as moves for kata, demonstration and not as fighting.

Even with upto 6 kata sessions per month, some students find katas a challenge
and then panic when it comes to gradings or competitions.
So come along to an extra opportunity for you to learn your katas.

Anti-Bullying Workshop

The content of an anti-bullying course:
1) How to identify a bully or bullying
2) Can we stop ourselves from being bullied?
3) Look confident with our body language and eye contact.
4) Confidence using the sound of our voice.
5) Name calling.
6) Be positive not negative.
7) Controlling and coping with our emotions.
8) How to protect ourselves.

2 x fancy dress, bouncy castle & games parties,
Little Dragons 4-5pm
Karate/Kickboxing 6-7pm
The parties will replace the normal Wednesday lessons.
Free to all SESMA students even if Wednesday is not your training day.
All we ask is you bring a few bits for the buffet table.

Breakasaurus T-Rex is coming home
Latest update of our Breakasaurus T-Rex is that we will be picking him up this month.
We will have competition to name our T-Rex and further ones for designs.
Thank you all and William’s Way who donated so that we could support the schools & community dinosaur trail for next year.
We were luckily enough to do the Dragon trail in 2015 which was great fun and brought together many of the sesma students.
Women's Self Defence Workshop
Due to high demand, we will be holding an extra session on Thursday 21st October at 10am and are also releasing the booking for the November session..
You are welcome to sign up to 1 of these new dates. If you sign up to the November date but you get a notification to say a space has become available on October 22nd, we will be happy for you to do the earlier date instead. You will need to confirm your attendance via Eventbrite in the usual way.
