2024 WTKA world championships
Sam & Ethan with their Medal Horde
Sesma Competition squad athletes Ethan Preston and Sam Seely have just finished up at the 2024 WTKA world championships in Italy both have prepared immensely for this event and regardless of the results they have done me proud and have shown themselves to be great role models for upcoming young competitors.
SESMA’s first ever WTKA world champion 
Sam Seely beat France in the final of 13-15yrs Cadet Kumite to bring home the gold
Ethan had so many great wins in his heats which earnt him a place in the finals in both continuous and points kickboxing. All said and done he fought very skillfully all weekend and with only 2 years kickboxing under his belt he achieved 2x Silver, vice championship medals at his first world event.
Sam went on to claim multiple silver medals in Japanese kata including the higher age group 16-17yrs against competitors from Slovakia and Italy.
Grading Assessments Start on Monday 18th November

We will be giving out invites to White & Red Belts in November 30th to attend their grading on:
Saturday 30th November 1pm Kickboxing Karate 2pm
On the day of your grading, could you please:
Wear full martial arts outfit inc belt
£20 payment for your White to Red Belt Grading (pay on the day)
£30 for Red to Yellow Belt Grading (pay on the day)

Parents....
As you know, we would like parents to come to the SESMA Door to pick up their children, even more so now that the nights are drawing in.
This is for the safety of your children, as the carparks are busy with the change over of classes.
Children do not see the danger when they run across the carpark to you sitting in your car.
Also we can not see parents in their cars and have in the past had children run to similar looking cars.
All our instructors are 1st Aid trained, but we do not really want to practice on a child that has been hit by a car.
So please meet your child at the door. Thank you

New Sunday Sparring Sessions
A new Sunday morning kickboxing sparring has class started for those that may be interest in some extra Karate or Kickboxing Sparring.
Due to Sensei Will’s competition commitments, he is unable to have the sessions on a set regular Sunday, but he aims to have 2 a month.
This is a “pay as you train” and not a “Bolt On” to your monthly training fee.
£10 per session payable to Sensei Will at the session.
Next 2 sparring sessions:
Sunday 13th October 8-9am
Sunday 27th October 9-10am

Spaces now available in our adult Kungfu Classes on a Wednesday 8pm
No need to book, just turn up ready to learn and have some fun.
