KATA Friday 2nd December
For Yellow Belts & Above
For students that are on the Advance /Elite packages (2 classes per week) there is the dedicated KATA class that concentrates solely on your grade and kata.
Each class has 2-3 instructors to help you get your kata its best, but you will still need to practice at home too.
We are extremely awesome instructors, but you still need to do some work yourself.
Yellow belts and above will need to perform the new kata for their next belt.
The katas are also available to view on the SESMA Members Portal.

We Have Never Done This Before...
This will be a first for SESMA and the team and myself are pretty excited by this.
We would like a SESMA Student group photo with all the SESMA students in, very similar to a school year photo.
This is for all SESMA Students, Little Dragons, Karate, Junior & Adult Kickboxing and Kungfu, plus instructors & staff.
We have the privilege of the famous sports photographer Lex Spedding coming in to take the photo and there will be an opportunity to have individual posed martial art photos too (details to follow).
For this to work and be a success, and for you to be in the photo (which will be displayed in studio) you need to be there and in FULL UNIFORM

Hi, my name is Lex Spedding. I’m a freelance photographer and parent to 3 Sesma students.
As part of the Sesma group photo on the 21st December, I would like to offer Sesma students the opportunity to have a portrait style photo in their Sesma kit doing a series of martial art poses..
This will happen after the group photographers – in the upstairs studio area. I will take a selection of photos for each student and upload these to a secure gallery on my website – lexsphotography.com.
I will provide the Sesma team with a weblink to the gallery, which they will then email to those that have participated, where parents and family members will be able to buy photo prints and other keepsakes. These will be delivered directly from the printers.

Norwich Grading 11th December
We will be giving out grading invites this & next week.
The Invite will have your grading time highlighted, remember to wear full martial arts uniform and belt.
If you do not receive a grading invite, it normally is that you are not quite ready in one areafor your next belt.
We would rather you be a little disappointed now, than we let you grade and you fail on the day, which will be so much more devasting and a hugh confidence blow.
Plus it would be so unprofessional and uncaring of us to do that. We are a club and a family and in my eyes & heart, family do not knock people down, we build them up.
So if you not quite ready, speak to your instructor and they will re-tell you what you need to work on for the next grading in late March.

And Finally....
Id like to congratulate all those that have competed this year for SESMA at local and national competitions.
Many of you have been short listed to represent Great Britain at the World Games in Florida, which is absolutely amazing.
Details of those been selected will be announced in next years Newsletter
Sensei William has done an awesome job with coaching the students and was selected earlier this year as a GB coach.
But Sensei Will is not the only instructor that has done amazingly.
All the instructors have been fantastic this year and we have seen many students achieve their Black Belt thanks to the teaching of their instructors.
We have also seen many of the Elite students wanting to become junior & assistant instructors and their leadership skills develop under the tutelage of Sensei Tom.
